About Us

Welcome to St Mary Greenhithe – a church with ‘A Heart for the Community’.
As a church we welcome everyone; from babies through to great grandparents and we believe that we are all part of God’s family. As an Anglican church we are part of the Diocese of Rochester, but we are also part of the New Wine network, an organisation that seeks to see ‘Local Churches Changing Nations’.
We offer a range of services and provide a wide programme for spiritual growth – we want to see people having a greater understanding and relationship with God. Through our Family Ministry Team we offer support to parents and carers and children and babies through our weekly and monthly groups.
In addition to these groups our popular Community Cafe is open every Wednesday morning for fresh coffee, home-made cakes and scones and soup, as well as bacon rolls and a warm welcome. A number of local support groups operate from the cafe and we aim to support all of our community’s needs, both to individuals and to organisations. Also our weekly Seniors Afternoon each Tuesday at 2pm serves hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and scones, and is specifically for the more mature members of the community (over 55 🙂 )
We look forward to welcoming new people to our church and community and will continue to support and walk alongside.
Everyone is welcome – and if you just want a chat, all our contact details are on our website.

Children Matter to God

We actively support and encourage development of children and young people and work with them and their families in several ways. More specific information can be found in the Family Ministries area of our website.
